Slo-oxed for 20 minute which helped it to open. Greeted with aromas of dark red fruits and earth. The medium to plus bodied palate was mostly dark red fruits (esp. black cherry) along with a dose of spice and pepper. The acidity was nicely balancing, there was no obvious oak, and any tannins were well integrated. This bottle was not as enjoyable as the bottle we had in Feb. 2019. The fruit was pretty straight-forward rather than the layered experience with the previous bottle. It also seems as if the wine lost some body, and some gravitas, as it has aged. This wine did make the decade mark, but there is no reason to hold these - enjoy them now.

Rust color - Red currant, strawberry, pomegranate, fig and rhubarb with river rock and minerality. Very bright, pretty pinot that dances on the palate. Russian river valley have always seemed to produce some of our favorite Pinots - this one has been great throughout its life span. Hint of dried fruit which tells us this is in its golden years.
p.s. leftovers

Seems to get better with time. Wild strawberry, red raspberry nose (light red fruits). Nice structure/body, nice balance of red and dark fruits, nice viscosity, rich, smooth, velvety-- beautiful wine. Still rockin'!

Beautiful tart cherry, orange peel and red currant. Some rhubarb and astringency toward the mid palate. Bigger notes that explode in the mouth. If you have any 2010 left, we’d recommend to drink up.
p.s. stuffed guinea hen with stir fry cauliflower rice and air fried zucchini

Complex, currant cherry honey spice aromas. Dry, tangy, delicious.
