Great Goldeneye Pinot -- hearty Anderson Valley style -- dark cherry cola with earthiness on the nose and palate. Fading fast, though. Set up right and opened, but did not decant. First glass was great start to finish. Second glass fell flat by the end. Drink now or in the foreseeable future.

Full bodied with long finish. Complex taste of berries, spice, and a little terroir. Accompanied a tasting menu meal at a restaurant -- paired well with almost everything.

Lovely red! Color, nose and taste redolent of red, ripe fruit, especially raspberry. Full, round mouth feel. Long, complex finish - but not overly complex! Good structure and strong tannins. I'd like more, some to drink this year and some to lay down for four years or so.

1.5L from auction. Heavy nose but silky when sipped. Amazingly smooth black cherry, currant, mild alcohol.
