Didn't note color. Orange rind, garrigue, black cherry and sweet tobacco on nose (very savory). On palate, black cherry, raspberry and other savory elements. This has aged very well - loved this bottle. 93+/-

Meat, tobacco, red cherry & garrigue on nose. On palate, black raspberry, cherry, tobacco with medium body, medium+ acidity and long finish. Continues to drink very well. PNP with dinner - needed 15-30 minutes to shine. 91+/-

I like Dom St Gayan Gigondas. It's an unpretentious style with no hyper extraction or attempt to do anything other than the traditional style, which they do in a fruited way, sometimes a bit jammy once it softens. After around 7 years the fruit fills out, and this is a lovely, slightly jammy, fruity rendition. It's not going to knock anyone's socks off, but it is a very good drink. 91+
