  • Still a powerful nose where you especially got a lot of raisins - but after the wine open more up you still got blackberries and a lot of tertiary notes like leather and menthol - will stay at 93 - the wine is still drinking well but you can also taste that three years has gone since I had my first bottle back in 2020.

  • Bought at the winery many years ago. Pleased I waited until now to open it as the wine is showing all the complexity of flavours that I like from Nebbiolo. No doubt it will continue evolving for many more years. Right now it has that lovely combination of fruit flavours, both black and red, as well as some signs of maturity. Tannins are still noticeable but well on their way to being fully integrated. It needed 10-20 mins in the decanter to open up and was still going strong on day 2.

  • Very much like my last bottle so no reason to change 93 - its a wine that is showing great complexity.

  • Prior bottle was two years and 8 months ago and this wine has improved nearly exactly along the lines I'd hoped. Blackberry and black cherry on the nose, with an undercurrent of light leather, menthol, spices and floral qualities. Between medium and full bodied with the same combination of blackberry and black cherry that my prior bottle showed. Upfront retains a nice burst of youthful brightness, but the mid-body - just stellar. Elegant, refined and nuanced, the fruit notes are spectacular. Tannins are fine grained and integrated and when combined with the acidity, provide the backbone. But it's the balance that sets this wine apart. Other may be more complex or maybe have more depth, but this wine is so deftly balanced that it drinks like pure silk. Clearly has many years of life ahead of it, but I may open my next bottle as soon as November 2021 because it simply showing too well to take any risks.

  • A powerfull nose - the wine took some time to open up. You do not get a lot of fruit in the nose - we got some blackberries and a lot of tertiary notes like leather and menthol. On the palette you get blackberries and dark cherries you also get leather and menthol and hints of tobacco. Medium plus tannins and acidity - we think the balance of the wine is good - intense long aftertaste - where you fell the power of the wine. The wine is drinking fine now - but can clearly be kept for some years to come. We hare happy to start with 93.
