deep, dark cherry colour, lighter rim, thick. nose: bit sharp and green; stuffy with very limited amount of dark fruits; bit pinchy... difficult to judge, but not very promising. taste: nicely soft, with medium acidity; some smoked prunes and green leaves. Rather unripe.

A wine that showed a lot of improvement after the first day. The big attraction here is the earthiness, not common on south american wine I am used these days - other than that, a bit textbook left bank Bordeaux, if a bit on the light side.

Italy 2014, The Crush; 9/20/2014-9/29/2014 (Tuscany, Venice): Tasted at vineyard with Ricardo. 40% cab, 30% merlot, 30% petit verdot. Massive nose, daily drinker fruit bomb. A crowd pleaser.

Indeed it is a very earthy wine. It didn't appeal to me.
