Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • Another 16 year old chard, and another great one that smells and drinks much younger.
Nose has a hint of tropical fruit that accompanies the stone fruits. A nice bread/toast note also. Smells fresh and rich.
That freshness carries through on the palate. A bit bready, and the fruit is fading, but the fruit that does remain has a rich, ripeness to it. Also a tropical quality. Long finish with a bit of bitter almond.
    Great wine.

  • nose of restrained cereal grain and pineapple. more depth here. graphite and light smoke. the finish here is long. and slightly spicy/tingling as it slowly drifts off the dock. way too nice. more and more of a chardonnay fan everyday i get a chance to try wines of this caliber.
