black with a purple rim, no bricking - nose of back cherries and blackberries, light oak but not much complexity - medium body with mature tannins and very good acid-fruit balance - short 10-15 sec finish - a nicely developed mature malbec that pairs with food very well even though it is not particularly distinguished by itself - an excellent food wine

Nice malbec. Opened it about 90 minutes before drinking. Drinking beautifully now. Notes of blackberry, black cherry and chocolate on both nose and palate. Paired fantastically with a spiced chicken and barley (spices in chicken included: cumin, cinnamon, mint, salt and chili powder).

My palate is a bit dull from a '01 Frank RSV Cab and a killer steak dinner but I won't let that stop me. Black berry nose, graphite and some oak notes. Palate is incredibly balanced however the flavor favors a tannic finish. Perhaps needs a year more to perfectly integrate. Mature in complexion but a crowd pleaser.

Color: Dark ruby translucent Nose: Matches, plums and dark fruits with some smokey overtone, campfire Taste: sweet dark fruits but balanced with some acidity/tartness, rather simiple Overall: medium bodied, medium finish, a little hot on the finish but overall decent effort.

An exceptional Malbec for the price. Very sweet and fruity with a satisfying dry finish. Taste of blueberry and cherry with some earthy characteristics, showing tobacco and leather. Light to medium bodied with well integrated tannins, alcohol and fruit. The nose and finish are consistent with the palate. I'm glad that I have another bottle and will try it again in a few years. I expect the earthy characteristics will develop and be more prominent in the wine.
