Still drinking exceptionally well, notes of lemon curd, pineapple, and soft vanilla. The wine may have slipped a touch from its peak, but still has 1 to 2 years to run.

--- COLOR: Translucent honey NOTE: Drinking great now. Nose is loaded with ripe pineapple, lemon curd and creamy custard. Mouth is opulent & rich with white floral elements and bright lemon. Finish is wonderful marshmallow and citrus glaze. Drink it if you have it. Was as great as the last time I tried it.
9.3+ Wally's California All-Stars 2012 Weird how there is only one other tasting note on this one by now. Anyway, this was the best Chard (just like the 2009 Lews was the best CS) for the entire group. We all have diverse palates, but Lewis just dominated both categories. Unbelievable. We double (and some triple) tasted against other heavy hitters just to make sure, and it was clear. This is a great Chard and a great QPR when compared to its peers like Aubert, Marcassin, etc.

36th Annual Zinfandel Retrospective - the 2009s (Rich & Dana's): Deep yellow color with notes of banana and tropical fruit with nice toasty undertones. Rich texture with orchard and tropical fruit, toast and vanilla flavors. Long finish.

Lewis Cellars (The Wine Summit at the Post Hotel in Lake Louise): Pale - light straw; mostly a floral dominated aroma; pleasing, attractive on the palate - melon and peach flavors; quite well balanced; easy finish.
