Drank from a magnum that has not moved since release. Loads of smoked meat, dark fruit, iodine and mineral. In the zone now but I’d guess most 750’s aftermarket will be past prime.

What a sexy wine! The weight, viscosity and clarity are absolutely gorgeous. The nose starts with a dusty blackberry compote with pork smoke and that glue that kids sniff to get high. The attack comes on with dry mineral laden bramble dusted in cocoa. The finish brings black figs and sweet tobacco wrapped in a juicy blanket of mushroomy earthiness that dries up nicely after 45 seconds.
You know that guy that said hints of greatness...well he was on it gold medal. Just plain outstanding. A little big in the glass but not too big (I know, life's dichotomy). Benefits by decanting - with strong and rich dark fruit. Earthy - bacon fat - Layered. Power and finesse. Sanguis at its best #SBCjuice #realdeal #sbcsyrah

Decanted for 7 hours prior to trying the first glass. This ha an amazing nose. The flavor profile was still slightly closed for me at the 7 hours mark, but by 8 hours it was singing. I love Sanguis wines and this one was exactly what i expect out of them.

Don't even think about opening this for a couple of years. Hints of greatness to come but giving up very little now. Much better in 3-5 years.
