Opened 90 minutes before drinking. Fabulous nose. Dark fruits and vanilla with just a hint of spice on the palate . Very smooth, long finish. Medium tannins. Glad I have more in the cellar

My first note on this was worthless, and I was a few bottles into the evening when I posted it....I'll try again here :)
My score is still accurate...this is a pretty good bottle of Cab that has a sense of some character to it. Dusty black and blue fruit, bell pepper, oaky vanilla, and with the longer decant I get a port-like caramel note...this isn't very high in alcohol (14.7), but I still get a bit of heat to it, and the tannins are rougher, so that holds back my score. It does remind me of the several Lokoya Mt. Veeders I've had this year, just nowhere near as explosive in the nose or palate.
Fontanella puts the case production and bottle number on the back of the bottle, so we had bottle 05096 out of 10800 (900 cases made). This wine will probably be a bit more fun in a few years, but I don't really think it's built for the longer term of 10+ years.
Drink it now with a decant, or give it some more time in the cellar.

Very fruit forward. Been sitting on this for 7 years. Excellent with filet. Lingers on palate for a few minutes.

Consistently good. Broke a " rule" and served this with grilled chicken and it was fabulous. Smooth and balanced.
