Initially reticent, opens up after an hour, complex and special, warm oak, aniseed, gingerbread, blackcurrant, violets, creamy; dry but full, firm acidity and tannins, beautifully structured, well-balanced, elegant and compact, muscular but smooth, a bit astringent; excellent length, spices, redcurrants.
