Excellent and 30% cheaper than the comparable Voyager chardonnay. A crisp, lovely balanced chardonnay. Floral and lime notes give way to a flinty mineral backbone with some stonefruit flavours. There is just enough oak to balance it out. The finish is refreshingly acidic and medium long.Elegant, balanced, refreshing and great value!

Tasted blind. Lemon in color, medium intensity. The nose is clean, with pear, lemon, lime, some oak toast, medium intensity. The palate is dry, but with plenty of fruit. The acidity is medium (+) and the alcohol is medium (12.5%). The wine is medium in body, with medium flavor intensity and length. Drink now or in a couple of years. I could not decide between Sonoma or Southern Burgundy, because it seemed New World but is somewhat restrained in its use of oak, alcohol level, etc. Margaret River is really a unique appellation to be remembered.

Not as Burgundian in style as the single-vineyard Heytesbury bottling, but a solid effort nonetheless. Definitely shows strong notes of oak and sweet vanilla, but there is a hint of flint and cap gun. The fruit is somewhat muted by the oak. Seems like it could use more time to integrate.

Lovely drop, did not take a note at the time but must purchase more. Like many Vasse Felix wines, will made at a good price.

Deutliches Holz in der Nase. Frisches holz auch am Gaumen, eher blumiger Chardonnay
