2012 La Paulée de San Francisco Grand Tasting (Westin St. Francis, San Francisco, California): Medium cherry red color with pale meniscus; oak, red berry nose; oak, tart red berry, mineral palate; needs 7 years; medium-plus finish 88+ points
La Paulée de San Francisco 2012 (San Francisco, CA): Super young. Again, still bearing traces of a carbonic phase. Palate is tannic, bitter, leathery a bit but it boasts a great supple texture. Nice.
Some Notes from the 2012 La Paulee Grand Tasting (Westin St. Francis, San Francisco): Superripe. Syrupy, woody, little Pommard structure. One of the worst, overblown reds of the tasting.
