  • Baked strawberry, peach and dried orange on the nose. Slight raisiny touches.
Dry, pretty full bodied and round with enough acidity and grapefruity bitter feel to make it balanced.
Very drinkable but rather straightforward stuff. Some cheese and charcouterie enhanced the experience quite a bit.

  • Made from Pinot Gris grapes macerated in the must for 36 hours, after which the wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel for 4 months.

Beautiful pale raspberry red color tending towards tangerine orange color. With some time small bubbles start forming on the inside of the glass. There are aromas of sweet exotic fruits, pineapple, tangerine zest, some herbal notes, a little Asian spice aromatics and hints of ripe peach. The wine is quite dry on the palate, with flavors that combine typical Pinot Grigio flavors of citrus fruits, light spice, hints of herbal bitterness and a touch of yellow stone fruit with light, more red-toned flavors of darker fruits. The wine is soft and medium in acidity, more typical of Alsatian Pinot Gris than Italian Pinot Grigio. The finish is surprisingly long with flavors of spices, ripe apricot, stony minerality, a little gooseberry and hints of smoke.

This is a ripe and juicy take on the Italian Pinot Grigio with good depth and nice emphasis on the fruit; the wine might not be really complex, but there is definitely an interesting side to its positively straightforward fruit. Overall this wine is not really a white wine nor is it a rosé nor an orange wine, but more like a fusion of these three. The producer classifies this as a rosé wine, which might be closest to the truth, but there is a bit more to this wine than just that. Despite this unique character, this wine is still quite easy-to-approach and even a bit crowpleasing in style. Perfectly enjoyable on its own but seems to be rather versatile with some lighter dishes as well. Good value at 11,99€.
