  • This is a powerhouse French wine, with the added benefit of being organic. The nose was a blast of cherry and charcoal, eventually opening up to reveal some sweet blueberry and floral notes. The palate was initially an assault of cherry, charcoal, earth and tannin, but after 24 hours and a pour through a Venturi, it became quite enjoyable. Big juicy cherries, raspberry, licorice, clove, and still a bit of the charcoal and earth to give it depth. The tannin and acidity actually found a nice balance. Clearly this wine is much to young to enjoy right out of the bottle now, but in a year or two, it's going to be truly impressive.
