Medium ruby with hardly any colour fade. Wonderfully powerful spicy garrigue and earth laced bouquet. This has developed a little and yet looks as if it could go further. Something of strawberry, but more like a hypothetical cross of this and Victoria plum. Palate is surprisingly rich with the fruit still dominant, together with a wonderfully earthy dry mineral character (crumbled dry clay perhaps?). Finish is long and creamy with beautifully integrated tannins. Extraordinary QPR as this offers a real taste of the character of a fine wine for the price of a standard Vacqueyras. A real find. My only bottle and originally intended for a tasting which didn't happen. To drink now and for another ten years.

Medium garnet colour. Initial nose had some smoked meat, followed by dark fruit. More fruit on the palate with a little spice. Tannins are nicely integrated and is drinking really well at the moment.

Huge disappointment. This was the last bottle of 3... previous one showed good balance and moderate complexity. This wine was dead, had no flavor whatsoever.

Medium-dark ruby colour. Aromas of black licorice, liquid blackcurrant, black plum, violet, alcohol and clove. Full-bodied, with black licorice, black plum, violet, vanilla, and a hint of dark chocolate. Moderate-long finish, with black plums, spice, and licorice.
