big fruit without totally lacking some old world interest.
nose of black fruit, gamey meat, barnyard, and charcoal minerality.
full body with present acid. palate of black cherry liqueor, tangy blackberry, cured meats, and brett. blueberry and tobacco.. slight acrid sourness on the short finish keeps this from a higher score.
overall a lot of depth for $10. I see myself buying one or two to have around the house.

This wine has a deep red color that goes all the way to its purple-red edges. It has a robust nose of black cherry and flint. It shows slow legs upon swirling. The very dry palette reveals strong notes of blackberry with a prickliness upon the tongue that is more characteristic of effervescence than of this still wine. One would not call this wine balanced, since the darker tones of bitterness predominate. Full bodied to the point of astringency. Admittedly, I did not decant this wine, but drank it upon opening with a strong vegetable beef soup. Nevertheless, it would offer an interesting accompaniment to strong cheeses or hefty barbecue sauces.
On the second day, the "bite" had declined noticeably, and the bitterness had rounded out well with the oher flavors. Thus, the complexity of this wine is greatly enhanced by decanting.

On of the best values in Valencia region. For fruit bomb lovers.

Dense purple color. Lush dark fruit. Great with BBQ, nothing especially exciting here
