Holy Sediment Batman! Keep upright for a day or two before enjoying. Besides that, this was an excellent wine. Lots of fruit and high alcohol call for big flavors for pairings. This was a fun summer evening wine for grilling.

Opened for two hours; paired very well with smoked and aged cheeses. Very easy to drink, lighter on the palate than the deep color would indicate, but packed with flavor. Drink soon.

Drink by 2020 in my cellar; 3/1/2020-7/8/2020: I wanted a red wine that could stand alone after homemade GF peach pie; this was it: dense, sweet black fruit, nicely resolved tannins, and delicious to the last drop. Opened for an hour or so but should have decanted, as that would have taken care of the sediment: not so much sediment, but there is no benefit in ruining the final sips with black crud!
