  Extremely well put together wine! Typical of the better '08s, there are gobbs of black fruit; that would be a nice everyday sipper if we stopped there (except for the price). This is backed up by sweet mesquite smoke, tanned leather, damp soil, and a sanguine minerality. This is echoed on the palate, all in harmony. There is also a thicker, glycerine quality to it that is very appealing. There are well structured tannins that provide enough grip to give it a personality, and make the flavors cling to your tongue for a good 60 second finish, maybe longer. This wine has the whole package: body, complexity, balanced fruit, glycerine, and a great finish. Well done!

  - Garnet color with fast forming legs. It's in total harmony and has flavours of blackberry, black currant and fig with a medium/full body. Juicy texture with a medium finish.

  Beautiful floral nose... Silky and smooth. Pulled this bottle out with another couple and proclaimed "well... You'll never find this bottle anywhere else!" (Production is just 100 cases). I was pleasantly surprised by this wine... perhaps lacking a bit in overall complexity... but truly a crowd pleaser.
