Wow. This baby is now drinking very good. Mouthwatering and great concentration. A joy to drink. Drank with a friend from Germany who enjoys good eiswein and he too just loved this. Judging from previous reviews, I had lower expectations for this wine, but was genuinely surprised.

2002 Oregon Pinot Retro + Port/Madeira (JV's): An odd wine that I had in the cellar, so I threw it in (like a bit of sorbet before the next course). It is made from Pinot Noir grapes cryogenically frozen. Rose in color. The nose is lemony, tomatoes and some simple syrup. A bit cloying on the palate for my tastes. Some cherries and citrus on the finish. I know some who would like this. It is good and different, but a taste was plenty for me.

An interesting wine indeed. Striking notes of strawberry sauce on the palate. Seems a little less fresh than last year, especially on the nose. Would go nicely with a strawberry gelato, or, even better, with raspberry macaroons! Drink well chilled. 8% ABV. 88-90

Gorgous color of copper/pink salmon irridescent. Nose is peach, apricot. Flavors follow with mouth coating sweetness. Enough acidity to not be cloying and to hold the finish. REally good and interesting little wine.

Concentrated strawberry preserves. Drinking very nicely now. Could use a touch more acidity. A delicious wine.
