Not that experienced drinking Amarone, but have to admit the process of semi dried grapes has real merit in bringing some rich and fruity tasting characteristics. I'm surprised how much the taste of raisins was not present. You would not confuse this from normal process still wine, but also was not as funky and earthy as some I have tried. The color is dark red, the kind that stains the glass. The nose is very fruity, with blueberry first, followed by plenty of the red fruits, especially red cherry. The fruit is soft and smooth across the palate, rich and mouth coating. No doubt about the presence of alcohol. There are some satisfying secondary, earthy, enhancing characteristics like leather, lead pencil, and cocoa powder. Not very tannic. Balanced in a somewhat hard to describe way, because of the thicker than typical mouth feel. The fruit on the finish is kind of jammy cherry and black raspberry, surrounded with leather and graphite.

ChTR kokous 21.03.2012 (SKO-toimisto): Decanted for an hour, tasted double blind. This was a medium garnet red, not very violet. The nose was pleasant with lots of red berries, quite spicy with white pepper, a bit of oak and some licorice. The palate was quite sweet, not much tannins, quite soft and silky. I was rather surprised that this was an Amarone, I didn't get any raisiny aspect. This is also ready to go now, I don't see this getting any better in the cellar.

still too young, with lots of fruit and alcool. Good promise but wait at least five years hoping tannins will smooth and acidity will be more balanced
