Black pepper and black olives. This Syrah is amazing. Its still got power and lenght in the palate so this guy has a way to go, but its in a nice drinking window right now. The tannins are softened enough to sip on the wine by itself. Black peppers, olives and riper red fruit dominate the nose and mouth. Spot on, representation of the terroir and varietal.

Decanted for three hours; minimal sediment. Dark ruby and a bit cloudy. Black cherry and menthol nose. Full-bodied dark fruit on the palate, well-balanced by acids and tannins, but with a little heat on the medium-length finish. Will probably improve some with more age.

The nose was rich and intense with dark fruits, savory herbs, white pepper, spice and violet floral tones. On the palate, I found vibrant-silky textures which were quickly contrasted by a firm tannic spine, as ripe black fruit saturated the senses. Structured yet focused through the finish, in need of time to show it’s full potential, yet already pleasing on its intensity alone.

Fro, 100% Syrah, planted in Cote Blonde, the wine pops with scents of flowers, cherries and earth. Medium bodied, with elegant, soft, tannins, ending in a sensuous, ripe, red berry finish. This can be enjoyed in its youth after a few years of bottle age.
