Tasting at a store: Cherry syrup, raisins, I need to learn more about herbs. Not thyme or tarragon. Maybe oregano. Dry finish. Hot. Leathery tannins. All kinds of berries, black and blue. I get more and more layers the more I sip.

Meget mørk, dyp rød farge. Mørke tørkede bør på lukt. Mørke bør dominerer også smaken. Kraftig. Godt balansert. Ikke søt. Litt tanniner, men ikke veldig dominerende, men sitter lenge igjen på innsiden av skinnet.

Deep garnet color. Intense nose of dried plums and black cherries, leather, tobacco. Very well balanced. Wine is bold with great concentration of flavors, even dense. Silky tanins, medium+ acidity, very long finish with taste of ripe cherries. Exceptional.

Super dark to within a fraction of an inch of the rim where it turns a deep red plum grading to an orange tinged rim. So thick and rich it robes the glass in a solid sheet before slowly forming slow legs. Spicy cedar and dark berry fruit initially on the nose but it is subdued upon PnP. Later on there is lots of deep red and black berry fruit on the nose, tar, mulch, licorice, pipe tobacco and mystery. Uber full bodied, tons of extract, tons of tannin but they are ripe, fine and subsumed under the fruit. The flavours are very dark, spiced, dried and sweet berries, sanded cedar, licorice root, full mouthfeel and a tannic finish with that telling bitterness at the end. This has come into much better balance over the past few years. Actually feels fresher and lighter on its feet than it has any right to.

My last bottle. Opened about two hours before drinking. Still closed and tight. Not much change since buying them in 2013.
