Wildly over oxidised. I see the other tasting notes saying this is an amber colour, or close to it. This magnum is a deep orange. Burgundy of this age seems to be so hit and miss.

M&M lunch at Summer Pavilion. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow gold colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of apricot, yellow peach, citrus lemon, integrated oak nuttiness. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of succulent citrus lemon, yellow peach, apricot, saltiness and some chalk with more air. Long finish. Very good quality. Meursault 1er in a good place already with fair amount of oak that is integrated. Guessed correctly as 2010.

Deep gold color. Nose of tropical fruits, cream, yeasty, oak, sweet spices, hint of nutty, caramel and mazipan oxidative notes. Bone dry, good acidity and medium body. Ripe apricot, lemon, some honey, integrated oak, sweet spices, nuts and undelying minerality. Powerful and long. Need air.

initially slightly corked, with grassy and vegetal notes. Improved 2 hours later, with some ripeness along with acidity on the palate.

Meursault-smaking (Oslo): Rik og flott.
Fremstår litt uelegant etter Lafon, men hadde nok knust mye alene.
