Dark for a Pinot. Maybe has some hints of Syrah...
Blackberries, boysenberries, huge pepper, some minerality, has some copper and iron, finish with some dried cherries. Overall good but not exceptional. Acidity a bit high.

pop and pour, enjoyed two glasses over the course of about 90 minutes with chicken parmesan & broccoli. starting immediately upon opening and lasting throughout the 90 minutes, the nose was terrific - rich and complex, with smoke and meat notes. On the palate, the wine was a bit sharp at first, biting the tongue. It smoothed out after about 20 minutes of being open. Gentle fruit flavors and a faint hint of the smoke from the nose, but if there's a criticism it's that the wine is lacking in vibrancy.
