The wine looks rosy colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like mineral, plum, blackberry and black currant (cassis). It tastes like strawberry jam, cranberry, blackberry, black currant (cassis) and plum. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity. A fantastic rare Pommard that tastes as if it has aged for 6 years. A must buy and can drink now from 30 years.

Rose red. A floral nose not as earthy or rustic and some Pommard's with rose and violets to go along with darker cherry. Open and accessible at present-pleasantly soft but with enough backbone not to be described as flabby. Medium finish shows some firming minerals.

Richer and softer on the palate then the Volnay. Oddly enough. And I do like it more. But, overall, to me they both show that the quality has really improved and Girardin, and is becoming something quite special. Or at least moving in the right direction.

Nice ripe cherry fruit, moderate body with a hint of vanilla that belies its youthful character. Still feels like it needs 3-5 years to hit peak.

Way too young but a beautiful wine loaded with red fruit, spice and a nice tannin
