Orangey-lime citrus fruit that gets a touch riper with air, with an herbally basil/fennel note. This positively crackles with oceany minerality and acidity. Almost like a top-notch muscadet but slightly riper and without the lees influence. Both gulpable and rewarding of attention and excellent with seafood.

Quite a mix of fruit -- there are citrus flavors but also riper orchard fruit elements, and even a slight tropical note. The texture is light and less oceany than the previous vintage, a little riper but less interesting, but still brilliant with seafood, where the acid lights up and the food pairing turns the wine's intensity up about three notches.

Fausse Piste v. The World (@ Sauvage-Fausse Piste with StoryTeller Wine Company) (Portland, Oregon): Cut grass, hay & hazelnut aromatics with dollops of honey and peaches. Honey coated nectaries, lemon verbena and culinary herbs (dill?). Very intriguing, satisfying and well rounded. Medium long finish with plenty of silkiness. Paired well with the scallops, but wouldn't mind sipping on this alone-it's that good. If scoring: 90-91

Lemony. Different. Not something I love. Sort of musky melon as it warms. Better with food.
