  • Juicy, fresh, with cherries. Gorgeous color. Blend of zweigelt and blaufrankisch. Some oak but not overwhelming like many Austrian reds. One of the better styles of this I've had.

  • Merlot, Zweigeld, Blaufränkisch.
This is still young with its new oak still not completely integrated. A masterly crafted Austrian red that is a true delivery of the striking purity that so many pros mention without having had THIS!

    Still ruby.
On the nose it is lively and deeply purified in its red fruited expression of rich and promising multi-aromas. New oak adds pleasure.
On the palate, it becomes immediately evident that it was opened far too early AND that we should have bought more when in Austria. Richly concentrated and immensly intense wine that is not yet opening up fully. Has M++ acids, M+ tannin, great length and early layering. In the finish we found mew oak and a mineral quality in the earthy style of harvesting potatoes or red beats in the fall. Magnificent!

At La Verdura (Yokohama), where the restauranteur was so pleased to share a glass of this juice that he served us a 30yrs Pedro Ximenez. I just love BYOB :-)
(Not allowed in countries like North Korea and Sweden.)
