  • I was not familiar with this producer and wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Ripe dark and red fruits, a nice texture, good acidity and remaining grip. Nice balance and shows the potential of the vintage. A solid entry level CNP that should drink well for at least a couple more years.

  • See also my earlier notes of this wine. Nose: fine smoke with fine vegetables and herbs. Taste: blue- and blackberry with English licorice. At the second day deliciously fresh. A quite refined and really nice wine. With food the alcohol was not disturbing. To be drunk now, but might benefit from some further cellaring. 88-89.

  • Popped and poured. Color: light to medium purple. Nose: fruity, with light notes of minerals and barnyard. Taste: blueberry with the same mineral and barnyard notes of the nose. The tannins were almost resolved. Good acidity. Although the alcohol was 14,5%, it was not really disturbing. At the second day more light but refined mature notes. A quite charming wine, that maybe still should be kept for half a year. 87-88.

  • Color: medium dark purple. In the nose fine barnyard, fine spices and a herbal note. Taste: red berries and red cherries, fine spices, fine barnyard and a clear liquorice note. Good acidity, maybe still a bit young, but ready to drink, I guess. Better at the second day. 87-88.

  • Both taste and smell are assertive and lingering. Smells like dirt, rock and berries. Lots of juicy berry fruit balanced by big, big tannins. No syrupy, jammy fruit in this wine. 14.5% alcohol, but you don't taste it. This is not a particularly complex wine and 3D big (fruit, tannin, alcohol), but so well balanced that it is a delight to drink either alone or with food. A wonderful wine with summer grilled meats.
