Buttery, oaky big ass Napa chard...life is good! This is well balanced, nice bit of acid so could stand up to food, but I was drinking it solo. The golden color is amazing as it glimmers in the glass on one of our first decent Spring days. Nice fullness and richness but finishes rather quickly. 1 down, 3 to go so I'm going to enjoy these over the next few years and look forward to it's continued development.

Good bottle. Tasted with Meursault Genevrières and J Strata. Interestingly this bottle was the most "buttery". Favorite of several in group but overall second to Burgundy for group.

First tasted on a light-hearted, light-headed coach tour of Napa where every element including the human came together, this was my primary purchase at $75 plus on the back of a few sips at Grgich Hills.
Stoved for nearly a year, others' notes stoked my doubts but eased out to accompany lamb steaks, this delivered. Melting butter, a tiny edge of wood and none of the acidic twang I feared.
But the bonus was the long-lasting nose candy of cut grapes and olive oil - something not remembered from Napa.

A big, bold Napa chardonnay. Oak and more oak, but also some complexity. Buttery, with pear notes. Not a long finish.
