Light golden color. Starts off with wonderful lemony tartness. With air develops tart apple notes and broader texture in mouth. Still quite fresh and tense. Nicely done but not quite at level of their more recent vintages I feel.

Medium gold color. Nose of hay/ green apple, as well as complex stone fruit/ melon deeper. Tart and acidic, with medoium long finish. By far the best and most contemplative Aligote I have ever had the pelasure of experiencing.

I have always loved De Moor Chablis. It is crisp, focused and delicious. This is my second bottle of their Aligote, a grape that is new to me. This wine was elegant with wonderful acidity and citrus on the palate, and a crisp fresh finish. At $20 a bottle, it is a fabulous bargain.

Blind Tasting Burgundies from Well-Known Producers (The Wolf, Oakland): A lighter weight style but with presence. Runs through a few quick flashes: fresh, sweet, savory, vegetal. Drink now.
