I didn't really know what to think about this one right as it was opened. To me it seemed to have a little bit of a barnyard type of nose, with that note repeating towards the middle and finish. I left it alone for probably 30 minutes, and that was definitely the right choice. I was getting a lot of ash and aged blackberry on the front. Mushroom, smoked aged ribeye middle. The finish actually was lighter than the front. This one didn't even get to 13% ABV. Really nice wine, very complex.

As stated in my previous notes, this is very nice cabernet that has matured well--luscious dark fruit flavors, soft tannins but with a bit of zip at the finish. Decanting an hour before serving helps this wine.

Great old Cali cab.....savored over 2 hours with cheese, London broil, salami, poppy seed french bread and Irish butter.......just a bit of bricking, great smooth tannins and perfectly aged fruit with a nice little bit of tartness at the end. Not sure how much more life this has in it so I'd be drinking it now if you have any.........

90 upon opening. 86 after 30 minutes. Medium to high acid. Pretty thin. Not much tannin left. Didn't last long.

Continues to be a wonderful full bodied cabernet. Give it an hour of decant and it's rich and smooth. See my previous notes.
