Pretty hot on the nose, unsurprising with 15.3% ABV. There’s strong baking spices, some dark cherry, purple flowers (lavender?), a little of iron/graphite, and a bit of vegetation.
The tannins and acidity are still very present, surprising for a Merlot-based blend this old. The second half of the bottle actually drank better the next day. I would’ve never guessed this was 12 years old.
Great value for $50ish. Dusted Valley wines always punch above their price point.

Still very tight. Let this breathe a couple hours at least.
