Intensely dark ruby with a minimal hint of red. Initial pleasant funk on the nose with raspberry, chocolate, blackberry, opening to an intense plummy nose with dried spice and cherry. Beautiful structure with supple and enveloping tannins and still intensely fruity. Huge wine with great body.

Decanted off sediment. Consistent with previous notes. Red-fruited with smoked meat and a touch of funk. Tannins well integrated. Drinking nicely right now.

Pop-and-pour. Brick red in glass turning light/clear on the rim. Nose reminiscent of a younger Hermitage, red and black fruits and earth. On the palette fruit takes a back stage to a kind of meaty/beef stew, finishing with white pepper. Thoroughly enjoyable now.

Nat cork. Very dark - a purple/black. Pretty nose of pomegranate syrup, purple fruits, and flowers. Full bodied and well balanced with tangy and tart red fruits including sour cherry. Tannins are perfectly integrated at this point, drinking beautifully.

Very appealing full-bodied syrah which has benefited from some bottle aging.
