Oddly I preferred this as pop-n-pour now as it once it got some air, it seemed to take on more intensity. Initially, while tight, I thought it showed balance. As time went on, not so much, although my friends thought it was doing fine. Wonderful nose, cabernet fruit dominates the nose with black licorice, rosemary and dark chocolate aromas. The palate shows again dominatly cabernet fruit with tar, wood, dark earth then some youthful fruit as the wine finishes. Dominate structure in the finish, the acidity is bordering on overwhelming for me where as my friends are really enjoying it. The finish is long and carries firm tannin and some evolution of flavor. Overall very complex but in my opinion not ready to go. I would give it a year minimum, and would be interested to see what it does in 1-3 years given it's structure and intensity. My score as a PnP was 90+ but I went to 89 after it had some airtime.

Very dark fruit on the nose and palate. A lot of spice which I found typical in previously tasted Arizona wines. This was well balanced and overall an interesting wine.

A well-built wine with dark plum, cassis and blackberry notes melded with roasted vanilla bean accents. Solid finish.
