Decanter Fine Wine Encounter (The Landmark, London): Wild blackcurrant, cedar, slightly herbaceous notes, red plums, smidge of leather. On the palate it's tannins are drying and rather dominant. Fruit is a touch muted. Hmm.

Very well made, given how challenging the vintage is. Good core of fruits (cassis, blueberries, plum), with notes of cedarwood and cigar box. The flavours hold up well after hours of bottle-breathing. Good but not great.

Beautiful dark berries and beautifully dosed oak in the bouquet. On the palate red and dark berries, chocolate, good oak, firm acidity and tannin and a good length. Beautiful, youthful and firm wine.

Tasted after the 2016. Less depth and generosity here, quite powerful tannins. Good ripeness and acidity. Well balanced with good length. 91-93

Classico on TV (at Chanoch Reichenberg): Good Bordeaux nose
Still too tight, too young.
Requires further ageing.
