Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 90 points

  • Still too young. Light yellow/straw color. Lovely, enveloping nose of crushed rock, slate, minerals, lemons, honeysuckle and perhaps a hint of oak. Palate staining intensity, ample minerality, light bodied, and airy all at the same time-- lemons, slate, minerals, and apples all compete on the palate, but in the end the minerality dominates and lingers a long time, along with lemony notes. Very intense but very young, which surprised me a little from a vineyard known for being nice but not maturing as long. I wish I had opened this 3-5 years from now, as it will likely merit a higher score someday.
