A somewhat dulled nose, with everything lost in a flurry of unaromatic wind, fairly jammy berry fruit (blackberry and sloe). A faint whiff of hard stone flooring in an old castle. But it's not aromatically complex. The palate is quite fresh - there's quite high acidity here - with some slightly gritty tannins that are more noticable on the mid-back palate. This feels harsh, poorly put together, lacking in depth or interest, and actually rather awkward. I really do not like it. Ouch.

Beaujolais Bonanza (Sydney, Australia): Raspberry, black pepper and cherry aromas. The palate is medium bodied but it is neither overly bright nor having great depth or drive. Good but no more.

vegetation and almost meaty with some spice lift, medium bodied but with quite some grip, seems to have stem character, reminds quite a bit of my Chambourcin,
