  • plum, chocolate and oxidized cherry aromas, very pretty, on the palate it's smoked plum, cassis, smoked-cherry and as it sits it opens up nicely ... but then 30 minutes later it starts heading down hill. Have a bottle? Open it and drink quickly - I was a fan but now, not so much.

  • (Re-Tasted July 25, 2014) ... If you're lucky enough to still have a bottle (or two) of the 2009 Colaneri Cabernet it is time to pull it out and pop the cork, because right now, it is at such a beautiful spot in its lifespan that you'll want to experience it for yourself Forget the nose, if you can, with all its alluring dark fruit aromas and concentrate on the palate, where you'll discover smooth plum and cherry with hints of chocolate, with an absolute delight of silky smooth goodness across the tongue. Don't hesitate another minute, if you have some in your cellar now's the time to grab out a bottle and try it, I bet you can't stop at just one.

  • Fresh aroma of raspberries and cherries, with a little fine leather. More raspberries and sour cherry on the palate. Tannins are fairly tame, acidity is medium. Paired very well with artisan pizza.
