WSET Level 3 Session 3 (WSET): Appearance is clear, medium intensity, gold colour. Legs. Noticeable cork taint on the nose, depressing the aromatics of lychees and violets. On the palate, dry, low acidity, medium alcohol, medium body. Medium intensity flavours of lychees, violets, and rosewater. Medium finish. Sadly corked.

Sunday Dinner Series (The House - Woodley Park): Very aromatic and impressive: lychee pulp, green melon, honey suckle, also some herbal and white pepper notes. Wonderful nose. Juicy white peach and lychee on the palate. A waxy-oily mouthfeel but nice acid balances it all out. Flavors of nuts and apricot add complexity, and there's a pine sap-like aspect that is really interesting. Just a bit of sugar cane sweetness. Not the deepest or most profound gewurztraminer, but I appreciate this solid expression of the grape for only $16.

Clear, pale lemon, presence of thick legs. Clean, medium+ intensity developing nose, roses, lychees and cinnamon. Medium-dry, medium acidity, medium+ alcohol, medium body, medium+ intensity flavours, floral, grape, spicy, lychees. Medium finish. Good quality. Can drink now, but has potential for further ageing.
