This is a pretty straightforward, mass-produced California pinot noir.
PnP (screwcap...SnP?) into Burgundy stems. Nose had red fruit, orange/citrus, cola, and a little bit of tobacco and nutty character. Appearance was ruby in color with thin, fast legs and a touch of clear sediment. Body was below-average. Attack was full of red berries, primarily cherry. The cherry tasted a little candied and stewed and was joined by bitter orange peel and a touch of mulling spice by the time the attack subsided. The wine was loosely structured; the midpalate was poorly supported by the very soft tannins. The finish was exceptionally short.
I generally like this and would buy this again on a sale for ~$8, but not more. The simplistic flavor profile and loose structure can only hold up to the very mildest foods. Overall, we consider this "good," 83/100.

nose: mexican salted tamarind candy. yup. im not sure what the hell it's doing here but it smells great.
palate: more fruity, candied, and a little mineral. i was expecting the worst at 3.99 but this is decent. persistent tannins and nice salted jolly rancher finish.
tasted great with potatoes and aged irish cheddar

Ripe fruit to say the least with blackberries, plums and dark cherries. While not typical Pinot Noir it is enjoyable with grilled meat.

Taste was good but not very thick, almost seemed watery.
