Nose is a bit clogged, so this note is going to be limited. Very very mineral driven, much like the Avenius chard. Very little fruit, but loads of stone, mineral, and slate. Lean and austere, but pretty tasty. Enjoyable and easy drinking on a hot day.

This was much better than previous bottles. Great nose of tangerine citrus, dried grass, and white flowers. Medium bodied on the palate with lemon pith, fleshy tart orange citrus, and wet slate minerality. Dried herbs and honeysuckle add complexity to the finish. Very good, and given prior bottles, will likely improve with time. Drink or hold.

Delicate aromas of stone fruit, fresh herbs, and white flowers. Light bodied, with racy acidity on the palate as kiwi, bitter tangerine, cut grass, and finishing hay/dried herbs combine with underlying lime citrus. Enjoyable, especially with food, but is a bit lacking in depth. Drink or hold 1-5 years.

Rather watery & unremarkable. Had a bit more acid than the 2011 Glen Manor SB, which we tasted side-by-side.
We preferred the 2008 SBs from both wineries, which we tasted later that same day.

Nice lightly grapefruit nose, good acidity. Pretty amazing for a Virginia wine.
