  • Golden yellow in the glass; not unlike the color of apple juice. On the nose a plethora of honeyed stone fruits show up along with a beautiful wet granite and slate minerality. The palate follows up with the nose showing grilled honey coated peaches, balsamic glazed mission figs, meyer lemon confit, and cold/wet crushed granite and slate. Acidity while still good is now on the decline since the last bottle but this wine is still evolving into something spectacular and starting to lean towards something mildly reminiscent of a dessert wine. I'm liking where this is going.

  • Deep golden hue with rich straw colored overtones. On the nose and palate a myriad of tropical and stone fruits showed vibrantly including white flesh peaches, pluots, lychee, papaya, and tart passionfruit followed by wonderfully acidic lemon and crushed flint and limestone. Hard to detect oak at this point but I got a good feel for the malo this went through giving off good texture without rounding out the mouthfeel and dulling the finish which was very pleasurable. This wine is nowhere near fading and seems to have another 3-5 years left in it at least.

  • Wonderful golden colour. Beautiful nose, Meaursault-like. Tropical fruits, cooked pine apple, lovely integrated oak. Juicy, velvet feeling. Fresh, good acidity, well defined minerality. Ripe fruit and lovely oak. Long mineral finish. Great value for money.

  • This wine has almost certainly improved since the last bottle. Meyer lemon, honey, jasmine, cloves, tropical fruit medley, and green apples that have lost most of their tartness. The acidity is still alive and well driving the finish on for a good amount of time. Such a pleasure to drink!

  • In the glass, a deep raisiny yellow. Slightly bitter lemon confit, cloves, honey, and green apples tie together the nose and palate. Still has lively acidity showing, and adds to it an almost peppery finish which makes it so much more pleasurable as temps begin to drop this time of year. Just goes to show what a great producer can make from this relatively unknown region.
