  • This was fruit forward and drinking quite well. It held up nicely against a Paradise Springs meritage from the same vintage. Emily & I preferred the Paradise Springs meritage because it had more acidity, but both were excellent and paired well with steaks.

  • Well made meritage from a consistently fine producer. Still holding well

  • This wine is a gem. A quality Bordeaux blend from Virgina? Who knew? I never would have tried this had it not been at trade wine tasting. I couldn't believe the quality and picked up a case when I found it. Ruby red in the glass. Old world vegetal notes in the nose. Well balanced with tannins making an appearance in the long, pleasant finish. A full-bodied and surprisingly complex wine. Pearmund Cellars should be very pleased with this effort!!! By far the best north-eastern US red I've had.
