Undertones of blackfruits, tobacco, dried herbs, fragrant cedar and sweet spices on the subtle nose. Palate is more open with everything more upfront. Ripe fruits on a spicy and meaty medium bodied mid-palate with some chalky tannins at the end. This needs more time in the bottle for the tannins to soften. Hopefully the fruit holds. If you cannot wait, decant for at least 1 hour before drinking. Still, this wine has a touch too much tannins for me if you drink it on its own. It would probably do better to pair with a big steak. I recommend to drink this with hearty food.
