  • Apres 3 yeures de carafe. Fut excellent.. compare a un amarone tomasi 2011.... le vin est plus complexe et offre des saveurs incroyable.. piur le meme prix, je prends celui-ci avant le tommasi

  • (Azuebda Agricola) La Giaretta "i Quadretti' Valpolicella Classico Superiore, 2008, $59/750 ml at Dino's Restaurant, Cleveland Heights, Connecticut Avenue, Washington, DC, (less 33 percent as a gesture to me from the house); imported by 'The Country Vintner', Inc., P.O. Box 11540, Ashland, VA 23004. 14 pabv.

Brownish olive color with a faded edge.

Sort of a dried plum, foggy note in the nose. There is good stewed fruit, freshness and a hint of sourness.

Light and delicate texture, as expected from this wine type, and there is a hint of savory bitterness.

Good richness and a nice bitterness clinging to the finish.

Having been used to wash down a tomato basil mushroom-beef-white truffle sauce, it was quite successful in that role. Others at the table seemed to agree.

    90/100 ml.
