Medium + red. Red fruit, iron and paprika/red bell pepper nose. Sweetness and body to the cherry fruit, forest-like and dark. This is long, nice tension in the structure. In a great spot
NYEtoNY session at Maison Dakota. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of fresh earth, humus, fresh black cherries, dark red cherries, fragrant wood spice, some indistinct wild character struggling to emerge, but hidden under layers of polish. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), structured medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of black cherries, dark red cherries, brambles, smoke, underbrush, earth, wood spice. Long wild berry finish. Very good quality Gevrey village. Even better with more air on day 2. A youngster now. Will develop and drink well over the next 4+ years.

This wine was in a perfect spot. Fruit and tertiary notes balanced perfectly. I wish I had more of these.

Cherry to raspberry, sous bois nose.. lovely. Fresh ripe berry fruit with a refreshing slash of acid. So comfortably tast, poised and easy to enjoy.
