  It took some years to soften this wine although this vintage has/keeps often, and also here, a bit strict character. The nose is quite creamy with super elegant vanilla and a hint of perfumed soap (positive to me).
  The taste still had an impression of (ripe) fruit. The midtaste was, as I said, a bit strict, but also very pure and in the finish even smooth. Maybe this wine is not as 1er Cru as I wanted, but it is certainly a very good Volnay.

  This bottle was à point, in every detail ripe and juicy, but a bit one-dimensional till the last glass that showed more dimensions, so give this wine some air. The positive side is that the wine is really smooth, round and balanced. The next bottle will have more aeration.
