Pale red with a watery edge. Reticent on the nose, but some raspberry fruit with some mushroom & forest floor aromas. Raspberry fruit with a refreshing lick of acidity giving a lift. Not very complex but so easy to drink with a decent finish. Really good bourgogne - does what it's meant to do.

Pale/medium ruby/garnet core, wide pale rim. Lovely nose showing good intensity, creamy, pure raspberry fruit, hints of earth and iron. Palate is medium bodied, initial attack of raspberry fruit, in truth on the leanish side and even slightly stretched and hollow on the mid-palate with a short/medium length firm, slightly minerally finish. A good bourgogne with lovely pure fruit, but it is what it is and nothing more.

In a lovely place for a quality bourgogne, some leather and mushroom along with a hint of eucalyptus on the nose, cherry and crushed raspberry flavours with some savoury tones (fennel ?), nice lift and a great long finish for the level of this wine

(Barthod Ghislaine Bourgogne) Just a little darker in colour. The nose goes darker and deeper; a hint riper and no cedar but clearly a few diffuse alcoholic overtones. In the mouth it’s fuller with an edge more tannin and acidity that is slightly tart - it’s not a problem, just it’s personality. On the back of the acidity is a little burst of intensity on the mid-palate before fading into the finish. Less smooth than the 2001 but more material. I look forward to making another comparison in a few years.

In a different league from any other bourgogne rouge I've had - mellow, mature burgundy, sappy red fruits - lovely

Still drinking quite well not particularly complex but pleasant enough.
