  • Salmon pink color with a watery rim. The nose has a blast of watermelon, celery, and bright cherry. In the mouth, there is tart strawberry, watermelon, and cherry with a flash of mineral. Structurally, this light-bodied wine has refreshing acidity to accentuate the red fruits. The finish is solid with lovely cherry notes. Overall, this is a perfect summer wine because of its vibrant fruit and its lovely acidity.

  • Fresh and lively. Off-dry very fruity, great summer quaffer. Great QPR.

  • Delicious flavors of watermelon and strawberries. Ends pretty light, I wish there was a bit more intensity to the acidity and the flavor. Overall very good but only just so.

  • Strawberry red color. The nose is packed with red cherry, watermelon, spice, and scotch tape. In the mouth, the palate is all about watermelon and tart, wild strawberry. There is an acidic spine that highlights the red fruit and gives this wine a snappy mouthfeel. The finish is short with some red fruit.

  • Simple Hedonisms Rosé Panel; 5/1/2012-8/5/2012: Love Peterson's zero manipulation statements on their website. "No soul-less wines" shows through.
This Rosé is a blend of Mourvedre, Zin, Cabernet, and tiny amounts of Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah.

The cool 2011 Vintage played well for making Rosé, even from warmer climates like Dry Creek.
This blend, harvested between 13-18th, is only 12.5% alc, and amazing acidity.

To The Eye: Color is fiery bright pink
On The Nose: Strawberry, White Peach, and some wet stone.
In The Mouth: Lots of bright red fruit, that make the mouth water. Pleasant strawberry on the front palate, some minerality, lots of acidity on the mid and finish.
This Rosé I think will do even better over the late summer and fall months as the acidity softens and integrates.

Another Rosé to buy and drink now, and leave a few bottles hidden until Thanksgiving.
